EDUCATION: AUTOMATIC DOORS
Tithbarne Liverpool John Moores
PROJECT OVERVIEW
Company: Tithbarne Liverpool John Moores
Location: Liverpool
Our engineers transformed the building’s outdated manual entrance into a fully automated double door system.
The upgrade does more than enhance the building’s appearance it creates a smoother, safer, and more accessible experience for staff, visitors, and customers every day.
From the careful removal of the existing doors to the installation, commissioning, and rigorous testing of the new automatic system, our team managed every stage with precision, efficiency, and exceptional attention to quality, delivering a modern entrance built to perform for years to come.

The works involved replacing a set of heavy, timber frame doors with an automated aluminium set. The project brief centred around accessibility and fire regulations as the doors were no longer compliant with either. Being so heavy they presented challenges to building occupants and safety concerns. The new door set would remove this challenge by being fully automated. Giving users an overall safer user experience whilst bringing the door set up to date with current building regulations.
The works have been successful, and the doors have gone a long way in improving the student experience in the café area of the Tithebarn building. We are very happy with the overall aesthetic and performance of the door set from ADC and the service delivery from design phase to project delivery and completion.
