1997 – Where It All Began

JPF Systems Ltd was established in April 1997 by Mike Parker and Nick Judge.

The business initially manufactured and installed aluminium windows, doors and curtain walling, specialising in the education sector and working closely with local authorities

Mike and Nick built the company around technical expertise, quality workmanship and doing what they said they would do. They also created a positive, supportive working environment where people could develop, progress and build long careers.

2002 – The Automatic Door Company

As demand for accessible automated entrances increased, Mike and Nick established The Automatic Door Company, known as ADC in 2002.

ADC initially concentrated on fitting its own automatic door systems. A small service department developed from returning to maintain and repair those installations. Although servicing was only a small part of the business at first, demand grew rapidly. It gradually became central to the company’s future.

2008 – Remembering Nick Judge

In 2008, we sadly lost our co-founder, Nick Judge.

Nick played an important role in establishing the business and shaping the values and reputation upon which it was built. His contribution remains an important part of our history.

2008 – 2024 – Expanding Our Expertise

Over the following years, JPF Systems and The Automatic Door Company continued to grow alongside one another, combining aluminium manufacturing and installation with an expanding automatic-door and maintenance operation.

During the 2010s, the company broadened its expertise to include industrial doors, roller shutters, gates, barriers and other access systems. The service department also grew into a substantial operation supporting customers across a much wider geographical area.

Throughout this growth, the business retained its family culture and continued to give people opportunities to develop, take on greater responsibility and build rewarding careers.

2024 – One Company, One Identity

By 2024, the business had grown beyond its original identities.

Although JPF Systems Ltd and The Automatic Door Company remained important parts of our history, neither name fully represented the breadth of services the company now provided.

In April 2024, JPF Systems Ltd officially became ADC Entrance Solutions Limited, bringing every part of the business together under one clear identity.

ADC Entrance Solutions Today

Today, ADC Entrance Solutions provides automatic doors, aluminium windows and doors, curtain walling, industrial doors, roller shutters, gates and barriers.  We support customers across the education, healthcare, retail, commercial, industrial and public sectors, including local authorities, facilities-management providers, main contractors and organisations responsible for large property estates.

Through our installation, servicing and maintenance teams, we support customers throughout the complete lifecycle of their entrance systems.

Although our name has evolved and our capabilities have expanded, the principles established by Mike Parker and Nick Judge remain at the heart of the business: technical expertise, quality workmanship, dependable customer service and a genuine commitment to our people.
